Today the San Diego-based VIXEN Pop Up Boutique is hosting its First Annual “San Diego’s Most Stylish Man” Runway and Trunk Show! Finally a local fashion runway for our men where ten ravishing San Diegans will strut their stuff and compete for the title of San Diego’s Most Stylish Man. And looks like it’s going to be tough – have you seen the contenders? They are smoking! Check them out on Pinterest and cast your vote!
OK so here’s my favorite – he stole my heart with his bow tie and mix of bold patterns! I mean polka dots and orange?! I think I just fainted!
Contestant 7 – Oliver Lang: Raised first six years in west Africa. His mother being a colorful hippie Peace Corps volunteer and father being an English gentlemen, who never owned a pair of jeans in his life. He travels the world competing in paintball events, which allows him to pick up fashion trends and cultural items. Both his travel and upbringing have groomed his style which he says combines 1970s Colombian drug lord, meets Native American hippy pirate with a splash of frank Sinatra.
So the exciting part of the show, aside from starring at gorgeous men walking the runway, of course, will be to check out the participating designer and vendor booths. Should be a feast for a fashiony eye! I made that word up but sounds appropriate because the exhibitors will be showcasing their entire collections, not just their men’s lines. I, for one, will be swiping some plastic as I already have my eye on some vintage pieces.
Also, there will be an art exhibit by Thumbprint Gallery, as well as live artists for guests to enjoy. Oh and just in case you are not familiar with the Thumbprint Gallery you should definitely check them out if you’re an art lover as this gallery supports our local artists and curates monthly exhibitions.
And now my favorite part, Lord Wallington will be there! Whaaaa? Yes, yes, everybody needs a gorgeous bow tie or necktie so definitely check out their new spring collection. You will also notice the event staff wearing Lord Wallington ties – the girls will be sporting beautiful tulle bow ties while men will accessorize their body painted frames with some manly, raggedy bow ties. Because that’s how we roll in San Diego, baby!
So tonight come to 98 Bottles in Little Italy, between 7-11 PM and enjoy the show! They will feature live DJ, food, drinks and top designers and boutique to help you kick-off spring in style! Tickets are being sold here for $20 or $25 at the door.
What better way to spend a hump day, kids?
